FORT THOMAS, Ky. - Dora the Explorer will be exploring the Tri-State this weekend. The popular girl and her backpack will be in Northern Kentucky for the El Dia de Los Ninos Celebration.

It is a celebration that emphasizes the importance of childhood literacy. Translated in English, it means Day of the Book/Day of the Child.

Dora will be at the Campbell Co. Public Library Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch located at   1000 Highland Ave. in Ft. Thomas on April 28 from noon – 1:30 p.m. There will be multicultural story time and the first 200 children will receive a free book.

Dora will also make a stop at the Boone Co. Library’s Burlington Pike location the same day. There will be free face painting from 2- 4 p.m., and each family will receive a free children’s book.

On April 29 from 1-4 p.m., Dora will be at the Erlanger Branch for international story time along with dancing, crafts and piñatas. Children 12 and under will receive a free book while supplies last. Dora will appear on the half hours of 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.
